So now going to figure out how to post some pics..

OK so here's the left side of the main veggie garden bed which would normally have plants in ground. There's still a few that survived winter in ground and I've been stacking pots in there. This smaller pics are from December 2:

This is the right of the main bed - most of the larger black pots are overwintered fatalii and habs, with a couple of purchased varieties from Masters and Oakleigh market. Yellowish larger plants front middle to the right are the in grounders that survived the fairly mild Melbourne winter.

The very front yellowish larger plant is a standard bell from a supermarket capsicum I planted 3.5 years ago - just survived its 3rd winter in ground - if similar to last year, it will look like that for a few more months then burst back to life. Prolific producer and really tasty sweet bells.

The main bed is an L shape, this is the far right hand side with mostly overwintered super hots in smart pots plus a bunch of small plants from seed this year and very late last year.

2nd December:

27th December:

These are two favourites, left is a Jamaican Hot Red, great producer of very tasty, mid range heat pods, and right is a Not Bhut Jolokia Yellow. That's what the packet said but pods were more longish hab-like last year, and red. Heat was mid range but again excellent flavour. These two survived winter under the house eaves and still recovering.

This was the side bed, mostly annums grown from seeds from fresh market pods. Most of these are in pots now after surviving winter in ground.

Most went to pots:

Except two rocotos that had started to flower, will leave these as long as possible, pic from 27 December:

There's quite a few plants packed together so difficult to take decent photos of individuals, but will try to post a few over the next few days. The yards big enough to spread 'em out but they need to stay behind the fence to keep the pests off 'em:

Hey, Mongo, sorry I couldn't put a like on your awesome post!
Good luck moving - that's always a real pleasure!  Hope you
wind up in a great garden space.

Your OWs are awesome - how cool to be able to OW in the ground.
Potting all those up is quite a task, I imagine!  All the plants look great!
Best to you going forward.

P.S. Welcome to the glogosphere!

Cheers PaulG. Actually looking forward to this move for a change - it'll be our place so I can really get stuck into making the kind of garden I like. Always been a bit of a compromise, but as far as that goes, this most recent place has been the best yet.

Back is still talking to me after that day potting!

Thanks for the kind words!

Here's a few more recent pics, with some of the individuals:

Butch T, overwintered. I planted most of the supers too late in the season last year and got hammered by aphids so a lot didn't fruit and only got to about a foot tall.

Here's a mix of new from seed and overwinters - 7 Pot, Fatalii, Habs mostly.

The middle trays are obviously all new from seed, Aji Limon, Naga Morich, Barackpore, Brainstrain, 7 Pot long, some habs, Rocoto De Seda:

7 Pot White - this is shaded most of the day and seems to be keeping up with others in full sun around the same size:

Dorset Naga, overwintered:

Naga Morich from seed:

Fatalii from seed, really thick and bushy:

Original Jamaican Hot Red:

JHR Offspring, Interesting variation in size and shape for these two. Both germinated at the same time and both went into their current containers at the same time. I don't isolate so one of them could be a Jamaican Hot Butch T:

Hopefully have a few pod pictures soonish, plenty of flowers appearing now.

Those are some nice looking plants.  Your just coming into your season now right?

Thanks mate, luckily had a very mild winter this year so had a little head start for a lot of them..

This end of Oz is into season now - it's a bit warmer West and up North earlier than here. Melbourne had a last little cold snap in November for 3-4 days, so hopefully it'll be like this year and have some warm days through to May.

A month into summer at the moment and we've had a few days so far in the high 30's (around 100F), the hot weather should still be coming. It's watering morning and evening for pots during the really hot spells..

A lot of plants, and realy cool variaties..never heard of a turkish bush

In the process of trying to trim down a touch, not that I think there is such a thing as too many chilli plants!

I've never heard of the turkish bush either. I bought some maras biberi on eBay from Western Australia and the grower through some of these in - I'm growing a couple out to see what they're like.

I also got some "giant turkish chilli" and the moraccan matchstick from the same place and interested in seeing how those turn out as well. As soon as they show pods I'll post 'em..
