Guru's Garden - Traveling the World in Search of Peppers

Just starting this glog now so it's one less thing to do in a few months when I'm knee deep in compost and getting things in the ground.

Not much to report at the moment. Strains yet to be determined, but I'll probably end up growing too many like always...lol

Only thing that's going on right now is a clean back patio and the chickens doing their part turning over my compost pile on the daily. Intersted in seeing how the soil microbes appreciate the added chicken poop!

Hope everyone has had a decent winter so far and here's to happy germination!

EDIT UPDATE: This glog has turned into an ongoing overwintering, greenhouse and soil building how-to!

That Tele does look sweet, but walnut eh? Gonna be hefty....

I had a luthier build me a bass out of purple heart several years ago, even in my 20s I couldn't wear it for a full set.....

I like heavy hard woods for tone and feel, stability, etc. Most of the tone comes from pups and rig, but there is something to be said for tone woods. I like heavy instruments and thick strings. I like fight in my guitar. Sustainage... is that a word?...hehe  :P

few quick shots of the rest of the garden today, not enough time for pods on the vine shots, but there's a total harvest last shot.

Beautiful garden Rich! Your plants are very lucky.
Do you consume all those peppers?
Thanks! I'm just thankful for all the rain this year :)
I try to consume them all, yes! But years like this make that a tough thing to do, haha!
I've been thinking about starting up a little something selling sauce and other pepper products. Lord knows I have enough stock piled. We shall see.

I like those weird scissors, or that weird scissor. Idk the correct terminology
Yeah, they are great for picking. I use these and the orange and grey fiskars for trimming lots of things.

Awesome garden, do you trim the lower parts of your plants? I almost trimmed mine this year so I could actually see and navigate.
I actually don't! I think they grew that way this year because of the 30% shade! Its cool though because I like to get on all fours and crawl through there with my beer and pick! Its like being in a jungle, delicately trying to avoid breaking branches.
