any seeds for a new grower?

Hi im new to the pepper growing hobby and I don't have any seeds to get started with :-( just wondering if anyone would be able to send me any seeds that they dont need or want.....

I'm in Australia so local would be preferred but international is ok

Welcome to the forum chiliguy!  I'm in Chicago so shipping to AU isn't an option.  That said, take some time to poke around and get to know others on THP.  You'll find a world of helpful people and great information, and chances are a few of them won't be 17 time zones away.  Then the seeds will start flowing :)

Do as most of us have... buy seeds and try them.
Best thing to do is to research all the types by description to figure out just what flavor, heat you want anyhow.
Do you want blistering heat or sweet?

Not a good way to start out asking for handouts without even saying what you are looking for.
You could even offer something else in trade, offer to pay postage at least.
Trading seeds is one of the best options of course.  I'll be offering up some for trade soon.  I'll even be giving away quite a few as well but will start with a trade offer first as I think that is fun and a way to share the joy.
I have even gotten some for free by asking for trades when the generous giver didn't need anything else for their garden.  I will be doing the same in return.

Try Grant Hustler at Junglerain. Great vendor and has a lot of extremely cool seeds,

And so does Neal Smith at The Hippy Seed Company, another top bloke.

My advice would be don`t try to grow too many varieties at first.

Excellent ones to begin with, IMHO, are,

Any C.annuum. Cayenne are a good all around starter with a kick.

Fatalii
Chocolate Habanero
Scotch bonnet

Malagueta
Piri piri

Aji lemon
Bishops crown
Brazilian starfish

Oh, and sending seeds to Australia for the rest of the world is a big no-no. They usually get confiscated.

Welcome. It doesn't look to good when your first couple of posts are asking for free seeds.... Maybe you should buy some first and see what you like and dislike, Nigel posted a couple good links for awesome sellers in Australia that sell seeds. On that note welcome to the forum it is a great place to spend your free time.

Out of your 4 posts that you have on this forum so far 4 of them are asking about seeds.... your first 2 posts were asking about seeds for sale and then your 2 posts following that one are asking for free seeds.... calm down bud have a look around the forum, make some friends on here and then buy some seeds and offer to trade your seeds for other varieties you do not have. I don't know maybe its just me but 4 posts all about seeds is a bit much when you only have 4 posts to begin with.

:welcome:  from sunny South Florida!  :woohoo:

I know this is redundant, but, I'm in my first year of growing and have a new video on youtube (
), and once I start harvesting, I'd be willing to send you some seeds.  I'm growing Moruga Scorpions, Butch-T's, Primo Red 7-Pot, Bhut Jolokia, Big Sun Habenero, Bishop Crowns, and Naga Dorset's.
