White bhuts make a nice powder. I'm regrowing them this year just for that reason. nice selection. How was the beer?
 
     My sauce making foray from last week got the attention of MikeUSMC. I offered to send him a couple of jars of sauce in exchange for some constructive criticism. He offered to send me a few bottles of his own to sweeten the deal...

     I wasn't expecting all that! That original recipe is "original" all right! I've never had anything like it. Very creative use of very different flavors that really work together. My first impression is kind of a cross between a good fermented brown chinense sauce and homemade steak sauce. With a solid, creeping heat. That sauce is going all over my cheeseburger tonight!
     And that smoked Scotch bonnet powder smells absolutely ludicrous! So much good stuff! I can't wait to try the Baja Sauce. :drooling:

Thanks, man! Yeah, I'm pretty damn proud of that sauce, not gonna lie, haha. Some of the ingredients don't look like they'd really go together on paper, but somehow it just really comes together and works :) I absolutely love that stuff!

So I was reading BSH's glog and contacted him to see if he'd like some Mustard Bhutlah seeds. We eventually agreed on a trade. During our discussion, I told him about a variety that he might be interested in and I liked as well. We sent our trades. A week went by and I received an envelope from Ford's containing that variety we had been talking about! (Ford also threw in a great freebie!) What a great guy! It took a couple weeks for the trade to be finalized (customs and what-not) but I received his envelope yesterday. He sent me the spare seeds of strains that are brand new. All in all, BSH is an upstanding member of this community. I'm very happy with our trade. Here is a pic of what I received. The top two are from Ford's and the bottom are from BSH. Thank you very much! PPATB!!!

Well this is my first time reading this, and I must say, I read 90% of it and agree 110%, Pepper People are the best. Especially on this site. I can not believe the welcoming, generosity, the never ending help and advise. Its amazing. I posted in another topic thanking a few people for the gifts they send. What I have recieved so far is from Devv, WickedMike and PepperNovice. Its funny how an one simple little thing grows exponentially. Heres the little story.
 
I got into SuperHots and growing them because they are not readily available where I am. I had my first veggie garden last year (Very late I might add) and I was hooked. Its a hell of an addiction. Seeing what one can produce from a seed, Most along the size of a grain of rice or so, Is amazing. My kids enjoy it right along with myself and my fiance. SO this year I had a bunch of seeds that I harvested from peppers I grew last year and that I bought last year. I started a few and said "I wonder if there are any online blogs about this sort of thing" and HERE I AM.  I started reading, posting and making some online friends. Saw that some people did not have the varieties that I had so i offered a few up to send out. Not expecting a thing in return, just wanting to do something nice. I sent out 15-20 packs of seeds to people showing interest and was blown away by how grateful they were, And now I have gotten a few packages myself surprisingly.
 
Devv (Scott) sent me a few seeds that are allowing me to compete in the throwdown this year
PepperNovice(Tim) sent me a hell of a variety of seeds that I can only utilize a few of this year as I am very limited on space.
WickedMike (Mike) sent me a great variety of peppers along with some non-pepper seeds that I can not wait to try out.
 
In conclusion, One small gesture turned into a full circle of generosity that will not stop any time soon because come harvest time, I will be sending out more seeds of the varieties that I grow. This is by far the best community I have seen and had the pleasure of becoming part of. I thank each and every one of you for your guidance, advise, generosity and welcoming environment. So I encourage everyone who is able, Send something to a person who is in the need for something. the feeling you get is overwhelming. seeing the posts thanking me for what I had sent out made my day. 
Pay it forward folks, It comes back full circle one way or another.

Wow just want to give a big THANK YOU to brother USMC Mike for these two bottles of Sauce am looking forward to opening them up and chow em down ! The labels are very funny and well thought out Mike just love them. Next is the taste test i'll be letting y'all know what i think. Color is spot on with both bottles will be tasting with tonight's meal. I also want to thank you for the killer stickers of the USMC and Your Local Iron Workers Union both will be going on the dash of my CJ7  A place of Honor among the CJ crowd. She should be done and on the road in July.
