Peppers to Identify

These are chili I purchased at a local African market, I have since germinated two of the chili's.  I know there was a question of ripeness someone had at another FB page, they germinated very easily so I assume they were ripe.

I know the large chili someone identified as mostly a large Congo Habanero cross.

Thx for any help, I decided to grow the orange and the large yellow cross just because its so massive.

Cheers

I do have some seeds of these available for trade, USA only please.  I realize they may be crosses but some people like that, I dont mind it myself as long as I know its a cross or etc.

Adding this chili to identify:

I got all these pods from an African Market in my area, the owner said the peppers are coming in from New York.  Beyond that I have no idea where they originate from and he just puts them all in a big bin and seels them by the pound.

I need soe names people, help a brother out!  lol

. . . help a brother out!

Pods alone aren't necessarily definitive.  When you are able to add leaves and especially, blossoms, folks could likely be more helpful.  Meanwhile, any chance of getting the market owner to route some questions back to New York?

No help here.  At first one of the pics looked like a Maldive Heart pod.  But not quite sure.  Nice healthy pods nonetheless!  I'd be interested in trading for some of them Congo/Hab cross.  PM me if your interested!

I would say there is little chance of that.  He refers to all the chili's as Scotch Bonnets.  His country of origin is Africa, I dont think he really concerns himself with the names so much.  He just has to supply all his customers with hot peppers, he said they are highly requested in his shop.

cheers

Buzzman those last photos you posted up look like my old Caribbean Red Habs I've grown, they had that distinct point to them. Do they have a heat that builds quite quick and a very pungent habanero flavor?

The one before that is an orange Hab and the pepper before that looks like it may be a Devils tongue.

Hi Lawrence, yes to your question on the last pic.  The heat builds quickly and are pungent flavor, I think you may be correct and I'll go with that.

THe orange hab I think is a ......   Craig´s Double Hot Orange Habanero (TM)   I found some pics that looked similar in link below.

I also think you're right about the devil's tongue because it was the hottest of the bunch, a really good heat it had.

Thx for taking some time to help me identify some of these pods, much appreciated.

The yellow ones in the top pictures look like Adjoemas/Aji Umba/Ajuma, or at least as the ones being sold by those names on this end.

It's a cousin of the habanero, from Suriname, with comparable heat levels.

i grew it two years ago good pepper and not too hot
