For Potawie...Diablo Negro

last post until sunday afternoon/evening...getting ready to jet...

The Diablo Negro may not be the hottest pepper in the world nor even in the top 50 but it sure is a pretty plant...reminds me of a purple tiger on steroids...

***wondering what I will forget to take with me***

Hey AJ, not trying to stir up anything here but I have grown serannos many years as they are one of my favorite peppers. Your seranno plant looks like a cross to my naked eye. All my serannos are taller with dark leaves w/ a white frost all over the plant. Your fruit looks thicker in diameter than it should be for a seranno, look more like a jalapeno to me. The shape of the seranno pepper plant is very distinctive as it usually tall with a lot of branching and the white hairs that cover the plant. I'm not trying for a pissing match just my observation. Your Diablo Negro has the prettiest flowers.

That actually looks like an over wintered plant that was cut back and is now getting new growth. That could explain the height difference.

now thats one i hadn't seen before a diablo..have some purple tigers but that is one pretty plant..erm Alabamajack could i get a couple of seeds of you later in the year ;)

will be glad to share seeds although I will not attest to the "purity". I bought these seeds off Ebay kinda as a joke but am pleased with the growth and beauty of the plant.

PRF...not sure about the serranos...they are fairly tall plants...and they do have fuzz all over them...I will just have to wait until the fruit is mature to make a judgement...

IGG...fresh from seed, not overwintered...
