Cutting back tall chili plants-advice needed

Hi, 5101 here.

I have some habaneros and Bishop's cap. These are tall plants from what i learn from the internet. I would like to know if the plants can be more productive if th height is cut back. I have seen flower nodes on the growing tips of slender branches...but the ranches don't look too strong to support the fruit if it sets. So, by cutting back to the where the stem is stronger, will it set more fruit?

Thank you.

Hard to say. You may need a fan or some wind to strengthen these plants. Cutting them back usually makes a shorter, bushier plant but not necessarily more productive. Can you post some pics?

If they are already tall, don't cut them. It'll take more time for them to branch out from the side. You'll get more chillis in the shot term with them uncropped.

Back in LA I had a few 8 foot tall Piquins that produced so many chilli's I couldn't get rid of the/use them fast enough.
