Happy Cinco de Mayo! Which one are you most likely to eat today?????

A tough decision, as all 3 look and sound fantastic. The green makes me think of something enjoyed on a patio on a warm sunny day, but it's chilly here still so I'm leaning towards the red sauce. Then it came down to the meat and I am just not a fan of turkey breast. Ok, I'm not a fan of any white meat, be it turkey, chicken, or pork. (Pork shoulder and tenderloin are the way I go with pork, otherwise meh. Turkey and chicken I stick with thighs, sometimes legs.) So really it came down to a coin toss, and Key got it.

Key and Scovie killed it imo. Both of those are top notch moles!

The green looked too grainy, like the consistency of pulp from a juicer, I think it needed more cook time to make smooth and it would have been killer also.

The King is the King.  What can I say?  Can't do it any better than that.  Turkey, chicken, yak, doesn't matter what it is served on.  I would eat it on a flippy floppy.

Scovalingus is for true the mole kang however....

I donna' like to be liking turkey.

And truth be told I donna' care much for mole either.

That being said, KBK's has a certain je ne sais quoi.

And that "something" is SAVORY.

It looks savory and delicious.

Like something I could eat on its own with a spoon.

Just the chicken and the sauce and shovel it in.

I haven't eaten chicken in a long ass time but KBK's entry looks like a stage dive target.

Chingon!

I like the "simmered in the sauce" look of key's.

I had to go with KK's also. Very refined flavor profile and the texture looks spot on. I love the color too.

Tinnie, you deserve many applause for your entry! Mole is a dish most people veer away from making, but you gave it a shot. Being your first time making Mole, you rocked it. A little more puree time would be good. Like THP said, it looks a tad grainy. Keep making it... You will perfect it over a few attempts. Cool thing is, you get to eat and enjoy your practice work! I love the pork twist to it.

Nice work both of you!

Muchas Gracias Scovie.....

As i said its something i wanted to try for a long time.... its some thing that intrigued me... among other reasons i could never get my head around what it was suppose to taste like.....

I had a ball making it and will definately give yours and KK's a try in the future...

.... unfortunately USA/Latin American ingredients are hard to come by here...... only in recent years have they become avaliable.... even then its only through 1 or 2 specialists/ importers...

the Pendejo (lmao).... what can i say.....

...it makes me happy!!!

Not gonna let a shutout happen!
Tinnie did a nice job. Bought all the right ingredients, ventured into unfamiliar territory, made a worthy entry, and then went up against Goliath!
Vote-worthy, for sure!

See you next month, Tinnie, it took serious onions to get in on this one! (hence 3 entries)

They all looked awesome!!!!!! Mole night at Scovie's could be a feature film!...and win an oscar!!!
KBK, you kick ass every month!! That crown shines strong!!!
