so i have 4 different breads of peyote, the most popular lophophora williamsii also known as the peyote button, lophophora diffusa var. fricii, rebuta lucida, and trichocereus bridgesii, they are fun and so tiny, so far what has sprouted is the rebutia lucida, and the trichocereus bridgesii.
the lophophora diffusa var. fricii and lophophora williamsii, are fairly small and for the most part are smooth and round, the rebuta lucida grows to be 2 times the size of the l.williamsii and is covered in spikes or thorns, and the t. bridgsii is the iconic skinny and tall cactus, i am growing them all from seed, which has proven to be a little challenging, they need to be above 20c/68f during the day and drop down to almost 10c/50f at night. if they dont they will not sprout. and they grow so slow, i mean really slow. i will post some pictures of the ones i have sprouted as soon as i can, they are so tiny and the seeds are the size of poppy seeds, its amazing really
just wondering if anybody else has tried to grow these fascinating cactus
