Opinions on Flavor

I wanted to find out what peppers people prefer when it comes to flavor. What peppers really stand out to you in terms of flavor? What about unique flavors?

I don't really like the flavor of any of the pods I've tried so far, but I've heard great things about:

Bahamian Goat Pepper
7 Pot Jonah
Purple UFO (supposedly taste like a granny smith apple w/ heat)?

All are on my grow list, but I've yet to try a fresh pod.

Yellow
Charapita
Datil
Lemon Drop

Red
Beni Highland
Birgit Locoto
Brazilian Starfish
Habanero - many types, some very different!
Mako Kokoo
Manzano
Mirasol
Padron -  terrific on pizza when fully ripe
SB7J

Brown
Bhut Chocolate
Habanero Chocolate

My favorite pepper as far as flavor still has to be the Fresno. It's got a full, sweet, almost red bell like flavor - with a kick I'd put on par with a jalepeno (maybe just a touch hotter). These are my go-to for adding fresh pepper slices to any dish.

...it also helps that the plants are VERY productive

Ripe serrano's, red manzano's and pequin for daily eating. On the hotter end yellow bhut's and brown moruga's.
Oh, and I almost forgot Goatsweed my fav drying chile. Shit and yellow scotch bonnets are awesome to.

Variety is the spice of life. So many chiles so little time.

wild brazil
aji yellow
aji pineapple
aji omni color
australian lantern
jamaican hot choco hab
biker billy jalapeno
sweet habanero
trinidad perfume

Mike I'm going to have to give you one of these. I'll have another ripe one soon. It is currently tied for 1st place with Bahamian Goat in my book. This one is sort of like 1a since it looks cooler.

For Poppers i love Fataliis.

For snacking nothing beats a SB7J or most scotch bonnets.

Throw in any dish pepper would be a thai sun.

For super hot the reaper sure tastes great
