maybe I can revitalize this topic.
I am somewhat new to the forum and Brand new to Aero garden-ing lol.
So here are my thoughts/Questions:
1) I have seen a lot of people using Aero-gardens to start or grow peppers to maturity. What do you suggest I start them with, as in nutrients, growing medium, light setting, etc.
2) How long should I keep them growing in the Aero-Garden? i.e. plant height, stem thickness, root size.
3) Seeing as I have limited space inside, a couple plants I may consider keeping indoors but I am going to be transplanting outdoors or into containers, Is it effective to start them in the Hydroponic environment and transplant into soil?
4) If effective, and I have good luck with the Aero-garden I am beginning with ($20 off Craigslist) I plan to purchase more for other plants (salad greens, herbs etc). Can I dwarf a pepper plant or 2 and have them produce indoors" I'd be investing in one of the gardens with a 24" extension on the light but would prune quite a bit to keep it narrow and stout. Thoughts on this? Has anyone else done it?
5) What is root pruning and is it effective? does it only apply to hydroponic gardening or soil based too? Would it be recommended I learn and practice this for transplant into soil from the areo-garden?
Thants all I have for now, Hopefully this topic comes back to life. Many thanks and Happy Growing.
