Polar Vortex of Doom!!!

Oh, how I despise the fecking useless new media.  :banghead:

It's a slightly unusual jet pattern, but nothing more.  Enjoy the cool weather!

blossom doom at least, I rather enjoy colder temperatures, I like my weather like I like my metal...grim and frostbitten.  but the peppers don't

Supposed to hit 55 here tonight..my habs and jalapenos are loaded with flowers...so i brought everybody inside just to avoid the heatbreak of watching my plants drop all their flowers.

wife was lookin at me like i was nuts :/

Flowers wouldn't drop at those temps... Late spring/ early summer, also late summer/ early autumn those night temperatures are not uncommon over here in the UK. The plants don't suffer.

Some of the people in areas of Canada and  Northern states are supposed to get around 40ºF (4.4ºC)

and yes I woke up this morning with massive blossom drop on some of my plants and it got down to 60º last night with a light cool rain...we've been having rather Scottish weather for the last 2 weeks anyways.

Days/ week of crap weather won't do them any favours. But the odd night down to 10-11C is okay.

60 F (15.5C) is my average summer night temperature - I leave them outside and they love it :-)

60° is not going to cause major flower drop. Plants will put out flowers in low 40s. If we are talking about chinense(which we always are here),they are notorious for flower drop. Inconsistent and overwatering(North Atlantic has been ridiculous) will make them drop.

It got down to 51 here in Southeast Michigan... I brought my babies in so they are good... Funny thing is my dwarf Meyer is suppose to not go below 55 and I never bring him in till winter and I never lose any lemons or flower on the ddwarf Meyer...

Been in 90's here with the cooling trend, crazy wind though. Wind ran off with a cutting it pulled out of a pot. I still havent found it.

And yeah, I'll take dry heat. I lived in Malaysia with the wet hot season.. ugh, I hate when your scalp itches from the humidity.

Now I'm in a desert. Ah life

Lol I don't think they need an excuse for flower drop other then they're unpredictable.

2 brainstrains, seed where grown from the same pod. Both sowed at the same time together, and have spent there lives together growing in compost from the same bag, and next to each other in the same grow house.

One started setting pods 4 weeks earlier then the other with very little flower drop. The other plenty of flower drop.

No damage at all, temps and the sun are up. Plants are doing great!  :surprised:

ETA: the forecast still has the night temps into the 50's through Saturday
