Anyone know where to find FRESH super hots in NYC?

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right forum, but I don't really think the vendor vault is right either.

Regardless, I'm wondering if anyone knows of where to get fresh super hots anywhere in NYC. I've asked around and googled and haven't really come up with anything.

Kalustyan's is an amazing store, but they only really carry sauces and a couple varieties of dried peppers.

I'd love some fresh super hots.

Why not just order from one of the great vendors here. I would suggest Sicman. He worked with me, cause I didn't want to do paypal. It took five days from the time I Mailed, my payment to the time I received pods. With a very nice selection of superhots. I also see Ignite has a add up, I've heard good things about him.

or check the forum adds near the bottom of the front page.

Bakers is NOT one of the great vendors here.

I agree with Hogleg. You will get a better product. I have always lived in the ny/nj area and all I have come across are habaneros. Best place to check would be farmers markets.

The main reason was honestly hoping to save some money. Local places tend to sell by the pound and what not. Online, people are generally looking for $2+ per pepper, which is a tad overpriced, IMO.. Not including shipping.

Was mainly hoping someone on here would know some where, since the hot sauce expo and everything has been happening here recently.

Check out the SFRBs that frequently go up for sale on the ads section... definitely way cheaper than $2/pepper. I'm sure more than one person on this forum would be more than happy to work with you on what types you're looking for...

I paid less than $0.20 a pepper from Sicman

Yes, if you are looking for Super Hots in NYC your best bet is to pick up an SFRB from one of the many well reviewed members/vendors on these forums.  I live on Long Island and about the most you could hope for are Habs (That's why we grow our own).
