That's right, folks, you heard it from GEEME

Anybody who's been around this forum a bit knows one thing: I HATE BLACK PEPPER (and all its relatives) with a passion. Nonetheless, I maintain empathy for the trillions of people on this planet who love the stuff. One of those peeps is my son (go figure.) I shop at World Market from time to time, and came across these (keep reading below the pic, folks):

What you can't see above is the list of ingredients. This particular variety (one of four varieties) contains BLACK PEPPER, in addition to other spices. My son is hooked. No, "hooked" is probably too mild of a word to describe his love for these. Maybe "infatuated" is a better word.

I picked up one each of all four varieties, and I do enjoy the pear, mango and blood orange varieties. Of course, I won't touch the chai. However, in my empathy for all y'all out there who love BP, I thought I'd bring this chai variety to your attention. Ginger Zingers are made in Canada, and you can find them online through World Market and Amazon. Likely you can find them elsewhere, too, but I'll leave the searching up to you.

So yes, now all you BP fanatics out there can marvel; YOU HEARD IT FROM GEEME!

My mom bought some and brought them over to my house. Now my 6 y/o and 4y/o daughters are hooked. They are pretty darn good.

No on both accounts. In a way (yet not), they're kind of like mints. They do have a sweetness to them, but that sweet is nicely offset by the ginger and other flavors. The mango version - I polished off the whole tin without thinking about it, in less than an hour. Mind you, the tin is not large, but I couldn't eat that much of something like Skittles without getting to the point of being put off by the sugar way before half an hour hit. So these have enough savory to offset the sweet. Even the fruit kind aren't like typical fruit-flavored candy. Hard to describe, so you just kind of have to trust on this.
