I am currently working on getting an early start to my season and have been using a hand sprayer/mister to water my seedlings.
I was getting quite annoyed while watering my seedlings because every time the water bottle of the sprayer was horizontal it would suck air and not water. Even if it was 3/4 full. So I added an elastic band to the tube below the trigger to create a permanent bend in the tube (facing downwards when in use). I'm sure string would also work.
All I can say is that it works like a dream now and won't suck air until almost empty. Hopefully others will find this useful.
