vendor ordered seeds that are untrue

Hi folks.  I'm getting pods now and seeing that many of them are untrue.  Trin perfs looking like serranos for instance.  I don't want to start in straight away by bashing a vendor.  Fact is, I've followed one in particular for some time now and they are really great people.  I presume they probably get many of there seeds from other growers or vendors and resell but that's just an assumption.

So I'm curious what the general opinion is about this.  What should, if anything, one do if they order seeds that yield untrue pods.  Obviously the measly amount of cash spent is of little consequence here. The time and effort nurturing them to the point where pods show is the real loss that hurts.

i would contact the vendor and tell them the seeds they sold you were not true.. provide pics... they can easily say there is no way to prove thats from our seeds but they might be nice about it and send u more seeds or a refund, if they decide to be jerks about the situation, head over to the vendor vault and write a review on your experience with them. every business cant get everything right, i would give them a chance to try and fix the issue before you write a review on them.

You did the right thing asking first. Some of these vendors are pushing 10's of 1000's of seeds, things can get mixed up and a lot of them will try to make it right! Now I know it's very discouraging that the baby you have been nurturing turns out different than expected, but hopefully you get luck an you end up with some Awesome genetics that you would have never stumbled upon. On the other end if you end up with orange habs or Hungarian wax peppers and the vendor won't make it right, let the witch trial begin!!!!!

Ps if you got them from a vendor that history shows this type of situation is common place for them, don't be surprised. Live and learn. Best luck with the mutts, they might turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
