Where did everyone go?

Ok I was just thinking where has everyone gone to? Last year at this time there were so many members that are no longer here, like Burning Colon, P-Daddy, Impending Bending, McGuiver, Discus69, Coheed196 and much more. What happened? Did I miss the mass exodus?
 
Don’t get me wrong I still love this place, but last year at this time it seemed like the New York Stock Exchange with so many posts going on at once. Threads were a mile long. Lots of participation and lots of excitement in the air! It seems a lot quieter this year. I do know one particular member just exited the building under an escort, but what about the rest of these folks. Did I miss something?

But I agree, it does seem a little ghost townish at times.
 
Several of them have come back, like AJ and others :)
 
i was wondering about alot more people than that SL but i compleatly understand
 
where are you guys and gals??
i see this happen all the time on here so many just disappear??

I think the Glogs get the most action in this subforum.

It is an ebb and flow thing.  Things happen in people's real lives that take time away from posting on THP.  We just had 3 members who've been AFK come "back to life" in  the last month.  And some others have been AFK over the last 4 months after being very consistently active.  And sometimes...the power goes out, the internet goes out, and the whole world goes upside down for weeks..... IRL.....

man can i relate to this but mine is just mostly my job, i know you see me on here still and thats only cause im a persistant cuss but i had to make the decision to stop selling seeds and it kills me to do because of my job being a "Vampire" as well as many personal issue in my life that take my time and energy, so im sure most that have not been seen for sometime now are prolly in the same boat and some i might imagine are worse off than I if you dont see them at all, im sure there are about a hundred other reasons as well. so yes in some ways im sure i could realate especally if i knew what some of those reason where, my life i can tell you has been upside down,sideways everyway but the one i want i can tell you that :crazy: :banghead: :mad:
 
my thoughts and prayers go out to all and it is my hope that many will return
this community is what it is but i love it even in its inconsistancies

Yeah people switch off for a while and recharge ... even since I started on this forum the regulars became no shows and the newer posters take up the mantle of regular posters and so it flows ... its nice to see some old names back among the forum though ... along with them comes a lot of knowledge which this place always needs more of.

Amen to that brother.  We are who we are at any given moment.  And that's a damn site better than most.  ;)
 
Life happens.
 
However according to the stats for today, and a year ago, activity is way up. Way more posts per day, and more members posting. Maybe they are new members you don't feel you know yet, or maybe they are not in the sections you read.

Also these "where did everyone go" posts have been posted before. It's like a new school year when you don't recognize anybody. But there are more people. LOL. Just roll with it man. It's the Internet.
