growing 6 of the same super hot is a bad idea imo. might as well grow jalapenos then
why would you say it is a bad idea to grow the same strain of superhots?

IMHO, one super in a DWC will easily reach 6' tall, 5'wide and have hundreds of pods. I would think 6 of the same plant would give too many supers to use.

You could always throw in some pubes since they won't cross pollinate with Chinense.

Like 2 red bhuts and 4 monzanos???? Monzanos are great peppers and are mild enough to be eaten in large quantities.

I like Jeff's idea. I would go with Caribbean reds (big surprise… ) and some pubes. CRs have a more versatile heat level than a superhot, the plants don't get very big compared to others, and I'm just a sucker for that flavor!

6 superhots too much you guys are crazy, he can always make powder(like 200+ peppers per mason jar) and send it to us!

i would go with something new you haven't grown before to make it more exciting so none of the current stock. (although i would clone something if you want to experiment with cloning because cloning is an adventure itself but that's a separate topic)

i'm thinking fish, yellow brian strain, dorset naga, or white bhut would be great choices.

I agree on multiple strains and heat levels. It will be easy enough to avoid crossing on a few pods with a little effort.

If I were to pick 6:

Choc bhut, reaper, yellow brain, then rooster spur +2 other non chinense.

And...I'd cycle out the super after I had more powder than I knew what to do with.

because 99% of people cannot handle superhots so having that many it will either get thrown out or you will have tons of poweder in your kitchen.

much easier to grow a couple supers for your enjoyment, then grow milder more flavourful (baccatums) and enjoy them

First off, that's one hell of a seed list!  I envy your variety

As far as which pepper to choose, I wanna say red fatalii, but the purple jalapeno would be cool too...

Yellow bhut, I have heard a lot about variation from that plant, and if you're only putting one variety in their then why not test it out see the variation? Could be interesting, plus I heard they have a great flavor!

Red Fatalii. I gave a lot of space to my Yellow Fatalii's this season and I haven't been sorry. I can never have enough of these in the freezer. Ended up with a Red one in the batch (although I'm still not 100% sure that is what it is) and it's got the best combination of heat and flavor of all my plants so far.

Main thing is to pick something you really enjoy, if you like the Cherry Peppers grow the Cherry Peppers. No matter how many exotic peppers I grow I have to grow Cherry Peppers for the wife every year. She loves making poppers out of them. I even grew some Chocolate Cherry Peppers this year.

Yeah am I totally agree ...I'm honestly leaning towards cloning the cherry peppers...
