Hey Now

Been lurkin behind the veil for a few weeks, reading threads and growing a few peppers (weeks old) even though it is 113 in the shade. Only put them out at dawn (85) for a few hours. First time grower, started late, still building my garden. wanted to see what to expect in the worst conditions - which is heading up the California Coast Sat for 2 weeks - yes i have a house sitter - but you know how it goes -mass casualties. My goal is to try and get some (New) jalapeño's to fruit by this xmas in a container.

Welcome from PA. I think your peppers would be fine outside as long as they get some shade some of the time. It's not the temp that will hurt them as much as the sun. Although AJ would be the one to clarify that.

Thanks everyone,

I hope I have some by turkey day cause I'll be Elk huntin that week. Two years ago T-Day I was making Super Nachos out of a cast iron skillet while chasin the critters. Sure would be nice to have some home grown chili's this year.
