Interesting read on SB growing

Google "growing scotch bonnet peppers in Jamaica", then click on the PDF by the same name. It's a growing guide (49 pages) published by the Jamaican government. Some good info for the novice and perhaps beyond.

Well I just had time to read this, its a good but basic article.

I find their recommendations on fertilizer applications very interesting indeed! - it appears to go against what is generally thought of as best practice on here..

i.e add urea/ or ammonium sulphate (which provide N, and sulphur in the case of the ammonium sulphate) when flowers start. I always though you don't want N at this stage to avoid too much vegetation and not enough flowers..

Anyway, im inclined to believe they know what they are doing so Im going to try out their fertilizer suggestions on some of my plants!
thanks again for the article.
cheers
