media When is the best time to pull a seedling from the Jiffy?

I got a few popping up a couple close to and inch put some still with the casing attached at what point is it better for the seedling to be moved into a pot?

Once the cotys(first set of leaves) i'd take off the humidity dome if you have one. Then i'd leave them in the pellets for another week maybe (wait for 2nd set of leaves). That being said, you can do it anytime and it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

both below worked just fine:
tansplant seed directly into pot without waiting...

or wait until it a little bigger and transplant...

I left mine in the dome with the heat mat and just added a 18 inch T5 light on a 12/12 light cycle for while. I had the thermostat set to 85. and the vents wide open.

Whenever there's a family member nearby and you want to hear an annoyed sigh as you loudly exclaim "Don't worry little plant buddy, I'll have you out of there in a Jiffy!"

Or that.

I get them out when the first true set of leaves are just starting to appear.

Some will disagree with me on the following point however - when I get them out, very gently mind you, I pretty much remove all skerrics of the jiffy material and them plant in a seed raising mix. I do this because I find the Jiffy pellets take probably three solid waterings before they start to become hydrophobic, and you don't want any material like that around the roots. I have not lost a single seedling in the process, and the growth spurt shortly thereafter is really noticeable.

My two cents.

Tim
