7pot white or Giant white habanero

Is there a difference?i received white 7 pot seeds from judy, while roaming around the net looking for as much info. As i could i stumbled upon duffy stating that there was no such thing as a white 7 pot.Instead it is or should be giant white habanero.SLP offers white 7 pot seeds and giant white habanero. The pics look similar to me.

I think it's the same thing, and that Judy was sold the wrong one. But ask for a pod from both Duffy and Judy and compare the differences.

I have heard that that 7 pod white is a cross of Giant white habanero and a 7 pod. No idea if it true... Lots of romours out there :D

Luigi created the Giant White Habanero, I grew the 7 pot White a few years ago and I can assure you it was most definitely a Habanero it also looked identical to Luigi's GWH, Grant Hustler told me he crossed the GHW with a 7 Pot.

Not so sure that Luigi created it but he did discovered it. I grew both 7 Pot White and GWH, to me there's no 7 Pot White, it's an GWH.

whatever i got from judy is awesome!  i still have tons of nice big pods on both of the plants.  one of my better producers this season.

Glad to hear that i received some seed from judy and will be growing this variety this upcoming season. Thanks ,oh what is the heat level like on these peppers?

Habaneo heat, as I said it's not a 7 Pot you will find out when you harvest
i'd love judy to chime in on this topic.

An I would love Luigi to comment as he has done in the past !

Some say it is 7 Pod/pot,
Others says it is just a white Habanero

We know it never came from Trinidad, we also know breeder Luigi  crated the White Giant Habanero

So, is it possible that The White habanero was labeled/mentioned/remained as white 7 pod? yes it is possible

Does, this white 7 pod/Habanero has the heat and taste of a regular habanero ? No, it is way hotter, Stronger and more aromatic than any habanero or Congo variety, maybe one of the reasons why it is accepted as a 7 Pod variety

In some cases, it is very hard/impossible to differentiate among varieties before planting them for several growing seasons from several sources

Many thought that Brain Strain is the same as Moruga Scorpion, well after 4 years of planting both, and documenting the results, they are not the same variety, one is smaller, Hotter, rougher (Brain strain).

Def hotter than habs. Perfect heat level for me.

I personally think it's no hotter than the white Peruvian Habanero but this is the beauty of a group of enthusiasts everyones opinion is valued

thanks for your input judy the great and all powerful

i will be growing these out next year so i can compare them to choc habs then.

I think that growing conditions and weather have a lot to do on how pods taste, even separate pods often are hotter or have less heat.
I grew what was called a white 7 pot and the GWHab and though they looked the same to a degree,  the White 7 pod had some pods that did look different from the GWH and some of the White 7 pods were much hotter than most of the GWH which was growing near each other, although the GWH did get a little more shade but I doubt that made any difference. Both how ever produced well and I got way more pods than some of my super hots, so I was happy with both production and flavor which was pretty close to each other, heat wise was a mix on the White 7 pod some being much hotter than other pods on the same plant, both heat and flavor was nearly the same on all the pods on the GWH, so I have to go with the two being different varieties at least to me.
