Hello from Chattanooga

Good afternoon everyone. Greetings from the River City. A friend and I have recently started packing and selling our hot sauce on a small basis and have been using the seemingly unlimited info on this site to help guide us along.

We've been making sauces for years, but it was only a few short months ago that we decided to jump into the waters of competetion and see where we stood. After our first contest we were voted "Best Wings in Chattanooga" beating out 10 restaurants including several of the national wing chains.

That win got us to tinkering with the idea of making and selling the sauce. We've got a lot of work ahead of us and are admittedly in the extreme amateur stage as our website and packaging prove. However, we feel like the goodness inside of our jars speaks for itself.

Thanks for listening and we look forward to trying some of your sauces. Visit us on the web at www.suckcreekwings.com

Thanks.

Good deal....

I'm glad you received it. I was surfing the net last week when I found your site and said what the heck, I'll send him a jar. Hope you enjoy it and we're looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Welcome Aboard!! Very interesting name. How did you come up with it? Just curious. I think it's cool.

The name really came about on a whim. When we entered the Chattanooga Wings Contest we didn't have anything in mind. They called us back a few days later and said they needed a name ASAP for the advertising. We put our heads together and came up with it post haste as more of a joke than anything. We went on to win the contest and the rest is history.

Suck Creek is a part of the Tennessee River near where we live. My wife hated it, but she doesn't like hot sauce either so what does she know.

she doesn't like hot sauce, no accounting for taste, that explains why she hates the name!

Fortunately, her taste has the saving grace in that at least she likes a chili-head enough to marry one.

I hope you've been leading her to the well and sneaking her drinks. :silenced:

We've had a few people tell us that we should change it because it's a corny name, but we like it. It stands out in a world of "out of control hotter than hell fire kick you in the groin burn your taste buds off" names of other sauces.

Plus, we're pretty confident in our product. We may be the goofy name in the mason jar, but once you get into it we think you're going to be hooked.

Hey D & J,

Welcome to the forum! As lovers of good wings (and wing sauces), we wish you the best of luck. Maybe some of your stuff will have some success outside the Volunteer state,

P.S. Creator...looks like thars a new contestant for Celebrity Wing Deathmatch. :silenced:

Hmmm, Wing Deathmatch, I like it. To prepare for the insuing battle, I must first infuse my capsaicin-based homunculus with just a few more cyber-cultures along with injecting a small amount of the Batch #2 of ZERO into its cerebral cortex, so as to turn its 'hippo'campus into a 'rhino'campus, then, only then, will we be invincible. The metamorphosis of my little homunculus friend who resides in my crisper shall be unearthly, but so are our elixirs. But first, I need a beer. :silenced:

mmmmmmmm wings.......drooooooolllllllll i have several charities that are wanting to do chili cook offs and i want to do a hot wing contest.

Bubba, a while back you had mentioned a wing-off that was in the making in NJ. Have you heard anything more about it? I need more acolytes!

Great, for the best results, warm it up a little bit before you coat the wings, but DON'T boil it, you'll kill its ffragile little essence. Let the various vinegars grab your head and bring it to the plate. Enjoy!
