Bahamian Goat Peppers

Yes it is normal.
I seen this happens in many strains like MOA, or even Habanero
Two things:
1.Not all pods on the same plant have this look
2. Seeds from those pods most likely will not look this way next generation.
So it is just a normal growing habit that happens a lot in many Chinense peppers mainly native Habs and Bonnets.

Interesting. One of my bonnet plants last year formed "Bahamian Goat" like pods. Every pod had that quad-pucker look. The insides were nice and creamy white.
2013 - Yellow Bonnet/Bahamian Goat?
... BUT, this year's generation is throwing out pods that look more like a yellow hab! Pretty sure this particular one didn't cross. Yet, another that I crossed is showing the quad-pucker again.

Your first picture looks like the perfect SB to me, second one not so much 
Quad Pucker? I've never heard that terminology before but after looking closely at the pod I couldn't think of a better way to describe it. But it could be used in so many other ways like:
"I love my job but my boss is such a Quad Pucker that I need to find another"
"I love my job but my boss is such a Quad Pucker that I need to find another"
