I absolutely love wings, and the hotter they are the better! :hell: I'm always trying out different wing recipes. HotSauceDaily has some GREAT wing recipes, such as this one: http://hotsaucedaily...lic-wings-2010/

Somebody do the BBQ Pit Boys Bacon Cheddar wings.........

I did those back when TB first posted. I will look for the photos and try to post tomorrow. I think I only took pics of the final product. That was quite an experience.

Awesome thread THP! I just wish you were able to make multiple choices since I like both Buffalo and BBQ. Now, I'm craving some wing action.

We just had a wing fling here in Greer. They had some of the national wing joints and whatnot. They all lost to a local joint that had a Nagasaki Nuclear. Basically a hot teriyaki. A few notable wings were the Amber ale-mustard grain, KC BBQ style, Molasses, and Bacon-maple. Hottest wings went to a place where they threw a ton of extract on some wings. BARF. Yeah they were hot, but tasted like ass.

1. There's so little meat on a wing you get too much breading. It's not the same as fried chicken where there is more meat and the breading is a thin coating.
2. You sauce them after frying so they can get soggy.

I don't want to fill up on hot soggy breading

I bet if you eat 10 breaded wings, you could have eaten 15-20 non-breaded. Plus they taste better :P

Just my opinion though. This thread is about wings and all wings have their place.

Gimme a plate and I'll eat em.

Now someone post some wangs!

Yeah that's true they can get a bit soggy if ya don't eat them right away after you sauce em up - i guess its just what ya like i enjoy the extra breading with the meat im looking forward to someone posting smoked wings. :drooling:

Also would like to know what sauce people prefer other then buffalo or BBQ?

Always a fan of a nice teriyaki or asian style. If that doesn't work BW3's Mango Hab was always nice.

I almost always order my wings PLAIN and get the sauce(s) on the side. That way, the wings stay crispier....and hotter. It works really well and allows you the option to try several different sauces at once.

I've all but quit making wings at home. (maybe about 2-3 times a year) They've gotten stupid expensive and it's far more work than the "payoff" provides.

I DO love me a good plate of wings, though!!

It means she's going to win ...
