Partial sun edibles?

I have some fairly shady areas (full morning sun, no direct sun after 12-1 PM). I'd love to find some shade tolerant bushy edible perennials to put there but none come to mind. Any suggestions? If not, any suggestions on edible annuals that do OK with some shade? I'm in Zone 7.

Thanks!

Hey coach!  All manner of leafy lettuce greens, spinaches and brassicas (cabbages) do very well for me in shady areas.  The limited sun (and temps) helps keep them from bolting.

Raspberries!

Ah. Good to know & exactly the type of thing I was hoping for. Blackberries too? I was planning on putting in some blackberries in a sunnier location this coming year. Even better if I can tuck them away in a shady corner.

Manzano-Rocoto would be happy in that spot.

just noticed this is in growing other
Haha. I'd wondered about Rocoto too. I got some red to sprout quickly from what I've read about Rocoto (2 weeks) but yeah, looking for something non-peppery here.

Figured that might work too. I have a good deal of lettuce + collard, kale, mustard greens & cabbage growing now.
Sounds like I've got my solution- a raspberry, rocoto & lettuce patch. Thanks!

I think blackberries too. They need sun too, but you say they have full sun till noon, it should be ok. They both like also moisture (but not excessive) soil, what they will have, considering the afternoon shadow.

Indeed Woody berrie plantz will do well there, just keep in mind that they prefer a slightly acidic soil (lots of compost).

An other nice fastgrower is pak choi (can tolerate Low temps but dislikes freezing.
