oysters

Buddy just dropped off two five gallon buckets of oysters!! After cleaning and passing out to a friend and my family these are for Heather and I, :) serving with butter mixed with my latest processed red and orange Hab ferment and a dash of lemon

Nice score, haven't had a feast like that in ages.

I hated oysters/mollusks until I went to work on a farm one winter. We ate tiny ones like these (mostly for kicks, though they are very sweet) up to "greens", roughly what you pictured above. I say roughly because I was bloody terrible at beach work, much prefered being on the boats or rafts. So much free seafood, definitely miss that. By-catch of rock scallops and mussels on the long lines. Mussel-salad sandwiches all day long.

These little baby's were sweeter than honey!! Love living at the shore.
