Well... I have added several items to my grow list since my initial post.  The list has been edited accordingly.
 
Last night I sowed the second wave of chinenses.  I wasnt planning to grow them out this season in order that my favorite varieties might have more resources available to them.... but I gave in.  Now I will be officially planting all of the pepper genetics I have in stock.
 
My overwinters both died.  I am OK with that, because it was just an experiment, and I was purposefuly giving them minimal light and water (trying for dormancy.)

Second Wave of Chinenses (most are about a week old)  I will select my favorite 3 plants of each variety in around 2 weeks.  The rest will be given away to friends and family.




 
10 days away from planting all the rest of my peppers.  What remains to be planted is all of the anuums.... 10x  72-cell trays worth of seeds!!!! ---of which I will only end up keeping 180 plants for my final plant out.  The rest will also be given away.

I also grow most of my flowers from seed. Do you plant them in your yard or sell them?

Most of the flower seeds were purchased by my grandfather.  I will be responsible for growing them out for him... Ill plant some of them at his house and I will plant some at my house, but I am not planning to sell them.

when do you plant on starting your nons?

Technically I should have alreay started my onions, snow peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce, spinnach etc, but I have delayed planting because I just dont trust that it will be warm enough for transplanting quite yet. (although the literature recommends I do start them/transplant them in late winter.)  Sometime soon Ill sow them, along with some flower seeds that require cold stratification/early planting.  I will hold off from sowing any tomatoes and eggplants indoors until around March 18.  My herb garden will be sown indoors as well somewhere between that time and April 18, which is transplanting date.  After April 18, I will be direct sowing the remainder of the seeds.  I will also be receiving some live plants in the mail at that time... 6 blueberry bushes and a peach tree.   

I finally potted up the first wave of chinenses at about 59 days old!!!! I think they will be really happy about that.

 
The second wave of chinenses are almost mature enough to select phenotypes.

Most of the varieties are nearly finished popping, but a few were stragglers.... In general the Holy Mole Passilas, Numex Big Jims, Tanjin Jalapenos, Full Pack Jalapenos  Ristra Cayennes, and Poblanos have been the last to germinate... with the Ristra Cayenne being the latest... the first three were up this morning (I planted 64 seeds).  All of the trays were given the same conditions, so it must be the variety, or the quality of the seeds themselves... we should know soon, as the first hooks usually indicate an impending explosion of cotyledons!!
