Hi from a hotness noob

Hi everyone!

My name is Phil. I'm from the Montreal area. I must say I'm a complete hotness noob.

I have a friend who grows hot peppers and he gave me about 75 dried ghost peppers he grew. I quickly found out that my Red Hot Sauce was kinda for the wuss... LOL! I recently bought a bottle of Blair's Ultra Death and I got my ass kicked. I realise that Blair's are kinda disliked aroud here, but it's my gateway. Can't say I tasted many other sauces. Gonna make an order from chillychiles next month, any suggestions?

I've been a lurker for a few months but I'm getting into growing hot stuff next summer, so I decided to make an account since I'll probably have a lot of questions... I'm planning about 20 plants, so about 7 to 10 peppers kind.

Other than that, I'm a 33 industrial mechanic from the Montreal area who works the evenig shift. Beside my newfound passtime, I like astrophotography (http://www.astrobin.com/users/Azaghal/  here's my gallery, just for the kicks), video games, RPGs and wargames!

Hope I didn't butcher the english too much!
See ya!
Phil

Hello and  :welcome:  to THP.  I don't mind Blair's sauces at all as long as they aren't one of the extract sauces. They always have an off kinda burnt hair taste to them. I used to collect the Reserve sauces and have a few in my collection. Gets expensive fast. My extreme heat addiction started with Blair's and Dave's Gourmet Insanity (used to think Tabasco was as hot as it got). You will find all the information you could ever need here on THP for growing, cooking, etc. There are also some members here who make and sell some really awesome sauces Pex Peppers, Lucky Dog, Texas Creek to name a few.

Un autre Quebecois!!! Bienvenue au forum!! Glad to have you aboard! You will learn a lot here and have lots of fun!!! I'm a total noob myself, I started growing peppers almost a month ago now and thanks to the collective knowledge here, have managed to not kill any plants yet ;) I tasted my first fresh habanero yesterday and didn't find it too bad, so I'm getting accustomed to heat hehe. Check out the Glogs in Gowing Hot Peppers, you'll find lots of good info there (and everywhere else for that matter). Anyhow, have a great day and welcome to THP!!!!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Hellboar: Bien heureux de croiser un autre québécois!

See ya!

:welcome: to the THP forums from South Carolina! I agree with the above- some great sauce makers/vendors on this site (check the vendors sub-forum). Nice site- that chillychiles.com...I'd definitely recommend any and all the Heartbreaking Dawn's sauces aswell- super great flavors with all levels of heat, they were my first intro into real/propper hot sauces (Cauterizer is one of my absolute faves).
