Tunisian Baklouti - growing experiences please

What can you tell me of your experience/success/productivity with Tunisian Baklouti.
 
I'm in NE Ohio

I grew one last year, and it really did not do well for me. Early on, it was my most energetic start, very tall and vigorous. It never recovered after transplanting into a raised bed. Never grew. Dropped all of it's flowers. Had one pod. In late summer, when it started to get cooler, it started doing much better, but it never did flower again.
 
It's poor showing is probably due to my gardening skillz, but I'm passing on this one for my next grow list.
 
If you grow it, I'd recommend a cooler spot in the garden, and a richer soil. That's my best guess as to how I went wrong.
