Wild Game or Fish

If this exists the super search feature failed to direct me...

I would love everyone to post plates of food from something they caught or killed hunting.

First up....ugly plate but a southern classic, fried venison and onions...I like to put pepper powder in the breading.

Mussels in a spicy tomato broth with Spanish chorizo, garlic and bahamian goat flakes.

In the bowl with some crostini.

Was a great first course.  :)

Instead of posting pictures of all the ducks I shot saturday, you get a picture of my look of disgust when I left empty handed.. Shot one but lost it in the brush somewhere. My dog couldn't even find it. Oh well. Was really looking forward to making some duck jalapeno poppers.

That stinks man! Duck poppers sound extremely good!

I'm with your dog on this one... I don't see any brush either.

Yea they are pretty good. I make mine with half shredded monterrey  jack cheese and cream cheese inside jalapenos then wrapped with thinly sliced duck breast with a half slice bacon wrapped around that. I usually just use garlic salt and pepper but you can really use whatever you want. I stick tooth picks in them to make an X and stand them up in a muffin tin and bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes. Lol yea, believe it or not, there is actually a lake in front of me. Only about waist deep. Not a very good spot but we need more rain. Lots of ducks flying but they didn't come in close enough.

Please do share some pics when you get some.
Good luck on the hunt!
Will do. Opening day was really good for everyone and of course when I go, its crap. Once the weather cools off it'll be better. Sucks waking up at 1:30am to get nothing though. oh well. That's hunting.
