i sorted them all by what i think are the same kind, but if there are different types of peppers in one picture let me know. thanks <3

According to their website it could be the following;

The"POSSIBLE" types included are as follows (Depending on whats ripe and ready on shipping day!!)...Trinidad Scorpion Moruga, Trinidad Scorpion Chocolate, 7 Pot Brain Strain Red, 7 Pot Primo, The Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion Butch T, Yellow Scorpion, Yellow Moruga, Yellow Ghost, Yellow Brain Strain & MORE!! 20-25 Peppers per box (Usually contains some of our Chocolate Scorpions and they are HUGE, which takes up more space in the box than normal).

I have grown most of those and can't say I can give an positive ID on any of these.

To be honest I also think these pods look nasty, these are not healthy and seem to have grown in wet and cold weather. Cut the pods open before use to make sure there is no mold inside.

I figure that it's normal this time of the year and that's probably the reason why you received double the amount they promise. But for that price and the looks of the pods -personally-, I would still have returned them for a refund.

About 12 of them are going to be thrown out. I opened up one of them and it had mold growing on the seeds. The When i picked up another the stem fell off and i looked inside and there was a dead worm in it.  The rest look rotten and/or have holes in them.

The rest are fine though.

I'm trying to find a way to contact them about the bad ones.

i 'm glad you said it  ( Pfeffer )  .  those are sad looking , i'd be ashamed to sell those . matter of fact i gave away beauties to friends .  even later in the season my never looked like that .   Others will tell you more .     :onfire:

Yep, I'm sorry to burst the bubble.. But $25 for a batch with rotten pods is crazy. I also really don't get why he would send those if his site states 20-25 pods will be shipped. Why wouldn't he only ship the good ones.

I'd also ask him to ID the peppers, I'm very curious on what he will come up with as it's clearly not what is stated on the listing..

But $25 for rotten pods is a fast way to pay back a business loan. Let ' s just hope those are his intentions.

These are the pictures that i will be sending to Dale.. Apparently even if they do get replacements, I have to pay for the shipping. FBI told me about this guy and I thought they would be good, but i guess not.

I dont think the OP asked what you guys thought of the shape the peppers came or if you like Bakers

I mean seriously,,are you guys just sitting there wringing your hands together waiting for a thread to pop up with his name in it??

Dont know Baker ,never want to..  and never want to know you meanies either

Getting very sad

Just look at the pics.. I don't think it's nagging to say pods with larvae and mold in them are nasty.

Regarding the original post; the long Brown ones might be Black fataliis.. the smooth Brown habanero likes are probably some kind of choco habs. Def not the ones mentioned on his website.

Getting fresh pods this time of year will be hard, most (if not all) are closed until the start of next season. Judy (pepperlover.com) has a good reputation here, but only sells fresh pods during the summer.

I'm a THP young'un so I only pick up bits & pieces of this Baker character but wow... these really don't look good. One of my favorite things about this site is all of the pictures of the pretty peppers, but even the "good" ones in the original post don't look so great... not to mention the wormy, rotten ones.

I understand what you are saying from past threads, but this is legit. The OP offered the pics, then a member helped with the pepper ID and added info about the bad shape. Then the OP posted close-ups of what are very moldy/wormy pods!

If someone asked about a hot sauce and you saw mold in the bottle, surely you'd say you think the sauce is bad. Why not mention it?

Yep, I'm not into bashing.. But if proof is provide to support negative critisism I think it's everyone's right to read about it. I don't know the Dale guy, but based on the available information in the vendor vault - I don't want to!

So what ever the outcome is, please share your experience in the vendor vault. Most vendors don't need any help from anonymous Internet meanies and are more than capable of messing their feedback up for themselves! It exactly the same for positive feedback. If vendors excell in quality, customer service and other pros.. you will read about it. Buy from them.

Do you have any recommendations on where i can buy fresh pods? Most places only sell seeds and/or dried pods. this was the only place that sells them fresh that I found.

Within the last month I've ordered pods from THP forum member Wicked Mike and they were pristine.  Also have heard great things about THP forum member sicman, but have not ordered pods (yet).  Rather than search the Vendor Vault for information on a vendor you already know, I'd check out their threads instead.

Welcome to THP Synastral.  You're gonna like it here.   :)

edit: Guy orders 20, gets nearly 50. He could've cut the 20 bad pods out and there's probably zero issue.

I have avoided most of the dale bashing, and yeah it got old quick, but I agree with thp that this is different. Nasty pods are nasty pods no matter who they came from, and these are certainly nasty. I would consider them unfit for human consumption and promptly toss them in the compost bin. The last thing I would do is sell them for top dollar. Does pointing that out make me a "meanie"? I would expect somebody to say something about rotten and bug infested produce no matter who it came from, and in this case I think "helpful" is a better way to describe the responses than "mean".
