steak fajitas for two , steak ,pork, chicken,roast, shrimp, onions and peppers ! i wanted to take a picture soon as it was sat in front of us fresh and steaming, but forgot to  ( was starving lol) notice i have my jays peach scorpion/ ghost with me ( on the tray ) great homemade salsa ! guacamole ! OH YEAH !

Ah Jim, in the middle of Illinois you'll take what you can get.  And I always thought 'authentic' had more to do with flavor than specific dishes.  ;)

Yeah, I hear you.  It's the same way here in southern Oregon. 
 
i have to beg to differ my son inlaw is true  100 % mexican as both his parents , and when we eat down there it is a dish ma cooks up , not to mention the fish head soup ! in which i pass , but the tamales different story .  jalapeños is operated and owned by 2 mexican families a couple i might add have hard time speaking english .  not your usual taco bell joint .
