spirits Time and Oak Whiskey Elements

For some reason, I feel like some folks might find this useful ...

Maybe not ...

I think I might have some ideas for other uses ...

I didn't buy that, actually - just thought people might find it interesting ...

I can see where it's confusing, though ... I included a picture from the website ...

I've noticed people are a zillion and a half times more likely to start discussing threads with pictures of the link destination around here ;)

I think its gimmicky.  You may taste the wood more in 24 hrs like infusing it with anything else that you leave in there, but you're not going to get the complexity of an aged single malt.  And the whiskey stones.... to bring out the flavors in a nice single malt you're actually supposed to warm it with you hands, putting ice/cold in it mutes the flavors, and adding a bit of water to a nice whiskey is actually encouraged, not a ton, just a splash, it can totally change the flavor.

Just my opinion...

(I do live down the street from bar that is consistently rated one of the top 5 whiskey bars in the nation.  Its also Michelin rated for the food, but I drink there more often than I eat there)

Thanks for the info ...

I don't hhwhisky ...

I am interested in perhaps combining some with vanilla bean in everclear or hight-proof vodka, though ...

Or maybe break off a few notches and try infusing something in the siphon ...
