WOW!!! I grow many gourds and would love to try this one! I have some extra seed from some huge Georgia Candy Roaster squash if you want to try them, thanks!

Awesome. We call then long squash here (go figure) ;)  Goes great in soups and stews but you gotta harvest them a little smaller. Mine only average about 4 feet long with a couple pushing past 6 feet. I'll have to dig up some pics of my grandson holding one bigger than he is.

squash/gords are probably one of the most underrated plants i know of...

they sit FOREVER before rotting... you can harvest like a laundry hamper full of squash, and they last like 8 weeks.  my brothers girlfriend cooks this amazing soup from squash and some spices and what have you.

gonna grow some one of these days.

they are edible but I don't really care for the taste. Just grow for fun. When they are small they are really hairy and have a funky smell when you cut them open  :P

these are cool as the flowers open at night and have better success with hand pollination. for anyone interested in growing

Omg, I grew the gourd in my Korean Hornbeam and it grew touching the ground in less than a month. Good luck to all growing, hopefully you'll have duper long ones. My longest was 6.5 feet.

Just an fyi to anyone who sent me their address. Seeds are all packed up and going out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. The 2 feet + of snow we got has had me tied up. All the best. Cheers
