Yaki Brown- worth it?

Is it worth growing out for the pods or is this pretty much just about the pretty foliage on this plant? I really can't seem to find much info other than a few pics online. Not even a pod review.

Could anyone with experience growing/eating this one chime in?

Yeah. sorry.

i took your post "I really can't seem to find much info other than a few pics online".  literally.

I seen there was a review for yaki blue fawn but not really the same. I even searched forum and one person mentioned having some dried flakes mixed with chocolate habs but other than that not much mentions of it. I kinda take that as a bad sign that the pepper is barely worth mentioning. Seen a few nice pics of the foliage in a glog but no mention on the peppers them selves.

By the way, after watching nigels review for the Cumari do para i'm excited to add that one to the grow this year.

I would grow the yaki brown, may be a while b4 any more info is available.

Yeah. the cumari do para is an awesome little pepper. Its like a giant chinense shrunk down 10x with no loss of heat or flavor. but the heat has a short life of a few minutes.

Return from the dead bump!  I would like some info as well and this is another dead end.

BTW, this is how to properly make someone feel like an ass.  Not calling you an ass D3monic btw.

Google, the first thing I do when someone posts asking for info on a pepper that isn't something I have never heard of before. Then I just post the link.

New to me this season so I am unable to comment on taste/heat but you are more than welcome to seed should I get a few pods .. interesting that the front YB has no variegated leaves unlike the other two which clearly have that purple tint similar to the Pink Tiger .. to be honest if you put the two together it would be difficult to separate

yaki brown is a more brown, while pink tiger is black.

it's pretty standard taste and heat, nothing to write home about.
pretty productive and cool color though.

Thanks, it certainly is a nice looking plant foliage wise. Mine is doing great and looks similar to the pink tigers in color. Hasn't started throwing pods yet.

I'm a Yaki Brown new fan. As said, the plant is very pretty - mostly purple with green hints. The plants are putting out pods like crazy. They have medium heat (maybe Fatalii level) - just barely snackable off the vine for me. Not too floral, with a slightly sweet, crunchy texture. I'm drying most of min and will grow again next year.
