I got given these pods for seeds. I don't have any pics of the plants, but I do know that the purple one does go red eventually. I have some idea, but I'll leave it up to the experts here to confirm.

The red ones could be a variety of Thai or cayenne. The purple look like my purple jalapeños before they ripened. The yellow might be a lemon drop. That is a based on my limited experiences. Hopefully some of the more seasoned growers will be able to make a positive identification for you.

Thai probably (the mouse shit variety), not cayenne.. not even close... The 30-40 millimeter of the red coloured part of the pod would be 1" 1/8 - 1" 1/2  inch in 'murrican :shh: So it's some sort of an bird's eye for sure.

The same calculation makes the black ones about 1 1/2 to 2 inches and the orange ones about 3 inches.

1 inch = 25.4mm

Reviewing the sizes I'll also come back on the orange one. It's to large to be a criolla sella and it's to orange for a Lemon Drop (they are yellow). It's to slim for an Aji Amarillo so my best guess it's an Aji Golden or a Russian Yellow Baccatum.. So it's probably pungent. De-seed it with your bare hands and pick your nose. You will notice soon enough. I don't think the black ones will have viable seeds, but there's no hurt in trying. Just don't depend to much on it.

The purple for sure would go red. Not many peppers still be purple when ripen.
Yep, thanks for pointing out my obviously flawed statement.

Top red I believe is a Medusa.

Purple I believe is a Chenzo. I have taken seeds from some green Cayenne before with great germination results. It can't hurt to try again.

Could the bottom be Yellow Cayenne perhaps?

Bottom looks like Aji Pineapple or amarillo to me, limon is as yellow as the ruler. pineapple generally has more a golden color and Amarillo is even deeper orange but most pics ive seen of Amarillo are fatter in circumference

Aji Pineapple and Amarillo have a less uniform shape. I have grown red Cayenne before and their shape is very similar, although these seem to be a little fatter. Yes, color is more of an orange than a yellow as per pic. Top pod is becoming wrinkled so I'd say this is their final color as with all the other pods on the plant.

Thanks for the help.

The middle ones look similar to the black Hungarians I grew last season. Can't help with the top, or even a positive id for the bottom, though the bottom is far too orange to be aji pineapple from my experience.

Not my intention to point out anything in a negative way.
In fact you wrote yourself "but I do know that the purple one does go red eventually".

As you say, (if you like the taste of them) take seeds from each and grow them, will be much easy with a plant and flowers to identify them.
