Bpoole's 2015 grow

Just going to start by saying how excited I am about this grow season. I didn't try to grow anything too hot until it was too late last year. By August I had about 15 Bhuts and 3 Scorpion plants. I gave half to my cousin but most of his died and mine became infested with aphids and just couldn't get rid of them so now I only have 3. Last year I grew the normal peppers you find at walmart and only aout 4 varieties. This year I am stepping it up to about 30 different types. Most of the seeds I got from beerbreath81 who got them from other members and a site www.tradewindsfruit.com and also some seeds from Dougthehead. Below is my grow list. I would also like to grow some other chocolate types, hot chocolate, reaper, and fatali. I also have some yellow and red brainstrain. If anyone sees anything they would like to trade for please pm me. I received a good amount of seeds and can't grow them all so I have no problem trading.

Growlist:
Aji Lemon Drop
Aji Cito
7 Pot Douglah (yellow)
Douglah (red)
Devils Tongue (yellow)
Trinidad Moruga Scorpion (chocolate)
Trinidad Scorpion
White Habanero
Scotch Bonnet (yellow)
Scotch Bonnet (red)
Bhut Jolokia (white)
"                 " (peach)
"                 " (red)
"                 " (yellow)
"                 " (orange)
7 Pot Bubblegum
5 Color Chinese
Datil (yellow)
Thai Pepper
Cherry Bomb (chocolate)
Zimbabwe Bird Pepper
Barrackpore
Large Red Thick Cayenne
Cayenne Chile

Giant Jalapeño

These are the remaining Bhuts from last year. I heard that putting two pepper plants in a 5 gallon could actually make them more productive so I decided to try. I think one is sucking up all the nutrients though.

This is a little greenhouse I have been experimenting with. You can see the dark box inside. In the box I am trying the wet paper towel in plastic bag technique. Put those in on the 12th. Its in a box in the greenhouse because that is the warmest place in my house.

And yesterday I received this heat mat with pete pellets to try and regulate temperature better. These were done tonight.

All in all I probably have close to 8 seeds for each plant so If they all germinate I will most likely have some to send out to people who would like some. Remember to pm me if you are interested in seed trading. Good luck to everyone's grow, I'll be back in a couple of days!

Quick update. I've decided to add chocolate bhut, chocolate fatali, fatali, chocolate habanero, caramel moruga scorpion, and Carolina reaper. All of which I got from pepper lover.

I received some seeds in the mail yesterday from another THP member and it had me wondering. Is there a difference between aji lemon and aji limon? And what's the difference between pod and pot? Does anyone know?

Aji lemon is a cap. baccatum variety. Aji Limon I'm not sure about. I think sometimes it refers to the baccatum variety, and I think there might be a chinense named similarily

Also. Pod is the chili fruit, pot is.. well. a pot of dirt

After a week I am glad to report we have some sprouts!!

Added
Large Orange Thai
Reaper
Caramel Moruga
Aji Amarillo
Fatali (chocolate)
Bhut Jolokia (chocolate)
7 Pot White
Orange Habanero
Chocolate Habanero
Zimbabwe Bird Pepper

The large Orange Thai is for a grow down on the site. Largest plant wins. I also added more Zimbabwe pepper seeds just to make sure I get a couple plants going for them.

The other 70 seeds are now under a temporary grow light until I get my check this week and figure out what kind of other lights I want to use. Thinking about using two t8 fluorescent 32 watt tube lights. I will update again on wednesday. Hopefully Ill have 100% sprouted by then!!!!

Forgot to add this earlier. This is a cayenne I started last year and left with my cousin to take care of. It ended up getting aphids but some how he had a bunch of lady bugs in the house and they finally got rid of them. I decided to take it from him to try and get it healthy again. It was started in august I think and its in a 1.5-2 gallon pot and is about 14 inches tall.

Set up the new grow box last night. Three 150 watt fixtures with 100/23 watt bulbs. Transplanting most of the seedlings today into solos.

more pics to come later!

We also had another 3-4 inches last night which makes a total of over a foot since last week. Anyone else tired of all the snow?

This is part of the garden

looking good over there, dont give up on the datils and z. bird peppers. Mine took almost 2 1/2 weeks to finally come up.

Thanks man! one of the bird peppers have started to sprout. Luckily I started some in paper towels and bags and almost all of those have sprouted and some actually have started to grow leaves in the paper towels.

Took abut an hour but finally got most of the plants transplanted...would have taken longer but the girlfriend offered to help!

There are about 50 plants in there now, got another 32 brewing so I will probably have to drop to two per variety or get a small grow box.
