The Spiciest Chili Peppers on Earth

It would be nice if some organisation on earth somewhere possibly a university created a Site and conducted testing on variety's of peppers regularly and free. Have people like Ed Currie etc sending them pods, they photograph them, measure them, weigh them, cut them up scoville test them.. Surely in the "agricultural" or "Medicinal" areas of some university some place would be happy to do the research and make the data available to us loveable pepper growers...

FINALLY!  the Bhut is off the list!

That list seems pretty accurate for what it's representing at this time.  Very nice to see the Brain Strain on there.

I know how frustrating to always see 1m pods in the hottest top 5... They would be lucky to make the top 10 now days... Too many new stable crosses are up there.. IF you wanted to talk pure natural strains then ok yeah they probably would be still....

I dunno about this list... the red Brain is the hottest thing I've ever tried including the two ahead of it on this list. Maybe I should have saved seeds from that plant and called it the "Toronto Tornado" or something silly like that...

You know I feel the same way saugapepper with the first 2 peppers on the list having the funding and research of an university to push it's agenda, the Brain Strain has only this forum and true chilheads to thank.  Just glad it is getting the recognition it deserves being included on the official list now.  Thank you THP and all of it's members!

Shouldn't the Douglah be brown?
I also disagree with the statement: this pepper is renowned not only for its extreme heat (rocking about 1,850,000 Scovilles), but also for the fact that it actually also tastes really good (before your whole head ignites, obviously).

Well i thought they taste like bitter evil doom fruit, but then again i hate raisins, and some people love them.

Just by the taste, the brain strains I grew from your seeds consistently taste at least 20% hotter than the Morugas, as well as hotter and longer lasting than Butch ts and Douglahs. And the taste itself, way better than all of these, except I like the Primos a bit better.
