Pollinating

Hi there,

Is there anychance that a set of plants could not get pollenated ?

Would i have to pollenate them myself ?

if so, how would i go about doing so ?

thanks
Canada

If they are inside and there's not wind blowing from a fan on the plants you will have to hand polinate, but outside. They'll take care of themselves. They do self polinate as well. The male and female part are on the same flower.

Hey mate, If you want to safe guard a little against the flowers not pollinating you can gently tap your chilli bushes a couple times a day to get the pollen dropping. This works well.

Ya , just use a fan or shake the plants if they aren't getting wind. Hand pollinating is not needed with peppers

I can't think it'd hurt much if you did hand pollinate thought, right? I hand pollinated my black pearl and it has about 6-8 fruits coming in and i've only had flowers for about a week or two.

Only three flowers on one of my plants have turned to peppers. :( I don't know why this is happening. It seems as though they are not producing pollen. I've tried manual pollination - does not really work. Any reason this is happening?

The stores by me no longer have habaneros so I'm SOL until mine start producing

Yeah
Tap those bushes. That'll make em reproduce.
;)
