Wendy's ghost pepper fries

Supposedly Wendy's will be offering some time during the month of April fries with ghost seasoning and a new spicy chicken with ghost sauce.

Does anyone have any more information about this?  I heard this from the manager at the local one here but I'm trying to find more and coming up short on the web.

Taco Bell or Taco Johns did something like that was nothing to write home about
My buddy and I was not impressed.
Maybe this will be better but I have my daughts

Only thing I like at wendys is the jr bacon plain with a packet of chili sauce on it. I'd try the fries though.

the spicy chicken sammich from Wendy's should not be dismissed from the conversation. Made well, with good lettuce and tomato - it's the best fast food chicken sandwich out there imo,

Correct. It was Taco John's! They have BBQ type boneless wings that have bhuts in them. They are NOT hot. Nothing there is, actually. That is their only downfall for me. They lack all heat in all their sauces/seasonings.

That said, I'm surprised you know of Taco John's. I always figured they were more of a western thing. I can't think of any Taco Bell's anywhere within a day's drive from us that I have seen, but we have a Taco John's in every town over 4,000 people!

I wonder when this whole "ghost pepper" fad will wear off. Time for some new peppers to hype up. Reapers, Morugas, 7 Pots, anything but freakin' ghosts! People STILL believe they are the hottest of the hot.

If they did a ghost or any of the others the true heat level or anything hotter than a Hab they probably get sued .
They are even carful with habanero stuff or its just some artificial junk

I see your point, but when Taco Bell's Hot Sauce is hotter than Taco John's Ghost Pepper Sauce... Yeah... I'd expect more. Lots of restaurants get away with serving nuclear food. Quaker Steak is a good example. They have some sauces that will destroy most mortal men, even if it isn't quite on par with a fresh superhot pod.

Was also going to mention popeyes. Not hot but man I really enjoyed those wings. And i am a pretty big hater of fast food.
I agree Popeye'(and Carl's) are the cream...of the fast food crop!

I just started a thread about Wendy's ghost pepper fries did not see this one. They are vary good but no heat what so ever a little spicy
When I say little vary little spice the little green peppers they are topped with taste like bell peppers.

Ok my thoughts: both the fries and the new sandwich are delicious... However they aren't spicy. Maybe just slightly more noticeable than a regular spicy chicken. The green peppers on top are jalapenos and I really doubt there is any ghost pepper involved. The spicy sauce is on both items but the sandwich isn't listed as ghost.

You have a Quaker Steak & Lube in Wyoming???  Love that place.

heard the talk about these ghost pepper fries, saw some when I went to Wendy's today. they tasted ok, but as probably has been said before-not as hot as I was expecting. Although I have never tried a fresh ghost pepper, so I don't know what to compare it to. But I have grown 7 pods before.

My Wendy's fries
