chinense I just got some purple Habanero and purple UFO seeds in the mail today, AaronTT get a hold of me

Aaron sent me some seeds to start last year sometime. They showed up in the mail today with $1.34 postage due. They are packed well, but the envelope looks like it has been around the world a couple of times. The seeds look good to me, Aaron, give me a call, or write in. Tom

Wow last year. At least they finally made it. Postal screw ups are becoming far too common these days. Have had multiple return to sender problems with the PO over the last year due to errors on their part. Purple UFO are really cool looking. I've got a couple going myself

It is hard to read the postmark date, but it looks like it might be April of last year. I have had many problems too. I've had fresh peppers take 6 days with priority mail just to go from Lakeland to Miami. Looking at the tracking, they sat in a sort facility in Opa Locka for 3 days, which a long time ago was more or less Miami. I had some peppers take 7 days with priority that showed being out for delivery on two different days. The customer told me the peppers were frozen and thawed when she got them, yet alone, these came 2 days after her son's birthday, which they were a present for him. How about that chili heads? Having a mama that buys you seriously hot peppers for your birthday? Now THAT is love for you! Tom

Now that is the definition of snail mail! Glad I got to talk to you Tom.

For anyone interested in these seeds, I received them from the Hippyseed company in Australia.

Not specifically about peppers, I bought an item off ebay last year from a seller in Georgia, and as usual he shipped it with a tracking number. The day after he shipped the package tracking updated in Shreveport, LA about 45 miles from my house, and sat there for a couple days. The next update was in Southern California (?!?!?). Three days later the package arrived at my home. On it's tour to Cali, it had actually passed about three miles from my house. The seller and I both were dumbfounded. I guess sometimes Priority Mail really isn't really a priority.

You assume that priority mail will get to you in 2 to 3 days, but there is no guarantee on time frame and one time when a package was temporarily lost, they said they won't do anything until it has been 30 days. I already have 3 restaurants/taverns, that have insisted on using express mail and are happy to pay the extra cost to insure their fresh peppers get there fresh. It is really a shame it is coming to this. On top of this, don't get me started on the crushed boxes I've had happen when sending plants!
