pics Lets see your meanest, most gnarly pods!!!

Trick Or Treat?!

'Sinescing' Carolina Reaper pods.  The Purplish colored one on the left comes from my own saved seeds of an already "off pheno" Reaper line.  However, this purple tinge reminds me of the 7 pot Bubblegum x Pink Tiger I had growing in the garden last year... I wonder if they could have cross pollinated.  It could be sunburn or the effects of cold weather too... but I think its pretty.

Here is my own F2 generation of the BG7 x Pink Tiger (pink tiger pheno).  You can see that same purplish tinge for comparison.

Thank you all for the compliments on the Major Pain.  I am very lucky to have that genetic.  I was rewarded for my loyalty as a customer by the owner of Mojo peppers when, along with my last order, he gifted me a few sample seeds of two out-of-stock varieties I had my heart set on and had inquired about, Major Pain and Shabu Shabu.  Yes, it is just one plant producing all of that variation in pod shape.  I am not certain about the parents of Major Pain, but I agree that its something else, something awesome :-)        I over-wintered it along with the BBM x Reaper.  I am growing these two plants in isolation together and saving the seeds, with no intentional cross-pollination.  I have a few hundred Carolina Reaper plants going at another location.  I apologize for letting you all down this year, as I put my pepper collection on the back burner this season to focus on exploring my tomato seed collection.  I already can't wait to get the fire started next season.  I have amassed many gnarly varieties which I have not trialed yet.  I also look forward to germinating more of the Major Pain and BBM x Reaper seeds!!  Thank you all for continuing to keep this thread alive. <3
