Scotch Bonnet X Brain Strain Yellow- snaps at the base.. time to GRAFT and take cuttings

Today I had to work... in the next few weeks it will tell whether or not my grafts take...Stefan. This sucks
I will see if this chinense will take to an aji limon.. I did have a spare rootstock (dying bbg) to graft onto

this is/was a scotch bonnet x yellow brain strain.. that was growing in hydro and while changing the nutes SNAPPED... looks like it had dampening.. .. but this was in hydro.. how do i prevent it...

i doubt it will take but the rootstock is an aji limon (put with lights but not direct) and the scion being chinense,. i did have a spare chinense rootstock (bugged out BBG)

time will tell.. not sure if my grafts will take.. hoping for the pod to ripen (one photo shows a hint of yellow).. best bet is to the the smaller cuttings root!!

It is possible!!! But you have to get those cambium layers lined up right or it won't transfer enough nutrients to keep the satellite/graft alive.

Not limited to, but best results come from vigorous green new growth grafted onto similarly sized (diameter) root stock. There are exceptions to this.

Oh, and if anyone does some reading on genetic drift, I have not found any good evidence of this happening from grafting, though plenty of people claim it. Not saying it isn't possible, just haven't seen anything concrete myself.
