Blair's Reserves

Hello all. So I was digging through the closet tonight and found a couple of Blair's Extreme Food boxes. Opened em up and found some things I'd forgotten about. I bought a couple of his reserves a few years back when I was collecting sauces and now have no use for them. I figured I'd see if anyone was a collector and interested before maybe sticking them on fleabay. I have no idea what they're going for these days but I'm up for offers. All four are in perfect condition and have only been taken out of the cases once to unwrap the packaging. If anyone is really interested I'll snap some pics and post. If no one is interested I'll stick em on fleabay and if nothing there back into the closet they'll go for another 8 years lol.

Blair's 3 AM Reserve #120/?? This one is old. It's in the old style bottle and wax design. There is a small crack in the wax. This one is still being made and numbered today

Blair changed his packaging back in '08 or '09 I think. When he did he put up 30 sets of all of his sauces at the time. All numbered and signed. Both the box and the bottle inside are signed. Probably sell this as a set as that's how I bought it but if someone really wants to break it up I'm game. Some are personalized with my name (wish they weren't)

I also found some old Dave's Gourmet Insanity Private Reserves (the ones in "coffins"). These are old and not for consumption. They are sealed and never opened.

Thanks for looking. Again if anybody is interested and wants pics just let me know. Have a great one

That is an impressive collection.  There are some collector's groups on FB you might want to check out too.  Might be easier than ebay.  I used to collect Blair's and a few others years ago.  Now I only collect from makers I know.  Actually Blair is one of them, but the personalized stuff I had him sign, not the #d stuff that costs $200-$300.

Yeah looking back I regret spending that kinda money on them seeing as how they just sit in a box in the closet now. They look cool but just not something I'm into anymore. I haven't bought any since 2009 I think. The 30 set was the last

Very cool, Scorched! If I didn't think I would just open and taste them, I would bid. Very nice collection though.   :onfire:

If that 3am is the original one, a # that low is worth some money.  The cracked wax might hurt a little though.

It's original. I bought it many years ago from the giant hot sauce store Peppers that's nearby. I used to spend all my birthday money and allowance I'd saved up there. I'll post a pic later. It's been in the closet for years. When I bought it there was only the 2 and 3 am reserves. I wish it had a date because I'd love to know when I picked it up. I started collecting sauce when I was 13 or 14 so around 20 years ago.

You can see the crack right down the middle. Was never dropped or hit maybe just age?

Found another small one here

I'm sure they can probably be repaired but I'm not going to bother trying myself. I'm going to check out those FB sauce collectors groups and post there and see what happens.

Pepper in Rehobeth? I have been there a couple of times. The amount of sauces is overwhelming.

Yep. Wall to wall sauces in that place. They've always got tons of sauces and salsas out for sample. They will open any bottle of sauce to let you sample (if it's not already on the sample table) as long as it's not an expensive collector type sauce which is pretty awesome. It's great to have a place like that 15 minutes away. I don't go there as often as I used to. Blair used to come there and make a special collectors reserve and sell. I never made it to one of his visits which kinda sucks. Would love to have met him. Blair's sauces are the very first mega hot sauces that I used and collected.

Sorry so late in finding this; OP: is the Dave's Insanity Private Reserve 2007 #1922 and Dave's Insanity Private Reserve 2008 Jolokia Ghost #2145 still available?
