First time glog (pic heavy)

GOD SPEED!!

These pictures aren't the best, but this is a hectic look at the beginning of my grow. I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to get everything out on time. I'm still waiting on another dome to come in the mail so I can grow some red bhut and some 7pot trinidad yellow/choclate (and probably throw in a bunch of other stuff!) Got a pellet dome started last week as well more choclate habs 7 pot jonah and everything else listed. Nothing has popped yet but i'm being patient for once.

I just changed the water out of this tonight and replaced it with water infused with a weak fertilizer solution now that a good bit of them have a set of true leaves.

Below are some rough pictures of my first dome.I misplaced my layout of the dome so it'll all be an ice surprise although I have all the super hots pretty well mapped out in my head.  The half of the left side are all super hots and peppers above normal heat. This includes
Orange hab
choclate hab
Fatalii
Peruvian lemon drop
White bhut
yellow bhut

The right side includes a variety of different peppers. This includes
Chocolate beauty bell
Hungarian Wax
Jalapeno M and Early
Mama Mia Hybrid
Probably some Merlot / Tepin / Thai
drawing blanks on (potentially) anything else >_<

Last but not least, some blurry trying to avoid the sprinkler shots of a pepper plant I'm not entirely sure of. Last year I had some plants that were severely stunted or flat out about died that found a way to make it through a crazy winter. Of the few that survived, this was one of them (the others are a poblano and a odd looking jalapeno) that are producing. This to me looks like the purple jalapeno seeds I bought, but who knows? pods are just now coming in sorry for pics will get a better look as they try and grow back. I have another just like it and two that have no pods. flowers bloom purple.

All in all, I have a lot of stuff going on at once. I am a complete novice at this but I'm starting to get the hang of it through trial and error. Please critique me and give me insight into what methods you like etc etc. For instance, I have a lot of healthy pods up there with two seedlings emerged each. I'm pretty sure I should kill one off, correct? The soil here is awful, so I mostly pot things. 7 Gallon are what I have. I'm open to any and all suggestions, I just want to make these guys happy! Thanks for looking guys/gals!

dont's
#1 . don't over water
#2. keep some air flow over them , small fan on a timer works
#3. don't over fert.
#4. good lights if inside and close to plants
you'll be fine !       :onfire:
Thanks! All plants are outside. I give a full drenching once a week to solo ones. I'm hoping that's alright. I also am not sure how often to fertilize. Anyone got am average window of time?

I've only ever used miracle grow plant food usually as directed. I'd like to get into a more organic sworn by pepper growers fertilizer.

What's the best fert any of you all have came across? And is it a general consensus to eliminate one plant from each of the pods that have two growing?

Unless you can safely separate them. Most people wait until they have developed first and second leaves I think, easier to dermine which one is the strongest. But generally having two reach maturity in one pot really hinders both. Better with one big plant rather than two meh plants.

New dome came in today and I'm currently soaking the sponges (these things are the best)! Time to seed a ton of super hots since my dirt pellet dome has yet to pop anything :(

Finished up the new dome and hope the germination starts soon! As I checked my first dome, one pod has a green mold on it. I have plenty of air circulating but decided to take the dome off completely and let it get air from every angle tonight. Do I have anything to worry about?

And this is the bhut that fused together lol (can kind of see it in the above photo as well)

I will be planting these tomorrow into solo cups. The florida weather is great and these are getting too big for the dome even though they haven't developed 2 sets of true leaves.

Wish me luck guys!

So I need some help. When planting in the solo cups should I just put one cup underneath it or would it be ok if I put them in a tray that had standing water and let it stay dry ontop but water from the bottom?

Either of those methods would work for bottom watering, but you'll want to be careful not to leave them in standing water. Only put enough so that it's mostly absorbed within ten minutes or so. You want your soil to stay damp, but not wet. Otherwise, you risk having them "damp off" on you.... where the stem rots at soil level from too much moisture. Having adequate air movement around them should help protect against that. Nice looking starts!

Oh, one more thing. I saw that you said you got a dome. You talking clear plastic dome? By all means, never leave the dome on in the sun. It's guaranteed to cook your plants within an hour. Best to keep it off altogether during the day.
