Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Cool, I think I got a good handful of the f3 going this year as well and i'll start some f4 as soon as you send them this way. I got a late start last year on f2 and still managed to get some good pods.

Let's see which ever one you decide you like the taste of best. Don't have to do a video if you don't want to. Just a basic description is good. I know it's a lot of work doing reviews.

Yeah no probs man, I don't usually put too much effort into these reviews, hence some are pretty meh, but its no big deal, I'll send them out in the next couple of weeks. Actually if other F3s dont ripen up soon I'll send these first and will then send other ones later, so you can make an earlier start on these.

Ok have tried two more. Will send you the seeds from the ones that have dried out this week otherwise it'll take too long to wait for the rest. Will then send others as they keep drying.

Aji Inti F3 Plant 2.
- very low heat
- mild flavour, not too bad but quite subtle
- the texture was very hard, almost hard to chew, This pepper has been ripe for about a week now, has the toughest skin and flesh of any pod I've tried. Pretty weird this one

El Scorpenero F2 plant 1
- Very hot, like I'd say thats 1M easy.
- Typical chinense smell, moruga-ish
- Very subtle flavour, but it's quite nice. Sort of like defcon 7s, very clean tasting. Doesn't hit you, just sort of makes itself known behind all that burning pain.

Not ripe yet, but it's a cool looking pod. El Scorpenero F2 plant 2

I also have 2 D3 goat plants (3 and 4) ripening, will definitely be ripe by next weekend but I might wait to test till the weekend after. One of those has a tail, will post pics as soon as it ripens.

Still a few more plants iwth green pods, one of the painapples finallly got some pods on it, so will see if it gets anywhere. They were real slow for some reason.

Yea, can just trash those seeds if you want. I had a similar pheno in f2. didn't care for it much. Think it had kind of that soapy baccatum taste some complain about too.

I like that there's a yellow pheno, looks pretty oily too but not overly abundant placenta.

Yea I like that pheno shape of the D3 goat very much like the mother plant., bet it's a scorcher!   the mother el scorponero I saved seeds from was kind of shaped like that as well.

Your crosses are looking great out in the world, Michael!

thanks, hopefully something good comes out of them. Not just a bunch of duds. I think the el scorponero might be a good one. Same with aji painapple. Will have to see what f2 brings I think.

Thanks for following along.

Tested the 3rd and 4th D3 goat plants today. The 4th one was seriously unbelievable. Pics attached, the video is just uploading now, will add in a sec.

Nice, so we got red, orange and yellow all in F2. That's pretty sweet.

#3 looks very bahamian goat-ish.

Just watched the video, banana is a new smell for sure. 4-5 min is one hell of a creeper. Sounds like it might be good for sauces where the #3 might be better off as a smoked powder.

Yeah man, #4 is just mind blowing. Will give it to a couple of mates of mine to see what they think too.

Have you ever had a sugar rush pod? Wondering if it's similar to one of those taste wise.

They are a baccatum I believe but very sugary taste. Pretty good pods. I'll shoot you some seeds for next season.

El Scorpenero F2 Plant 2.

Very hot, I'd say 1M, I got instant instant hiccups with this one. Bitter, very bitter man, this would give 7 Pot Douglah run for it's money as far as the bitterness goes.

Real fleshy, I should've weighed it, it's definitely full of stuff with how thick this skin is. Would be good for sauces as long as there was lots of sugar being added.
