Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

I didn't do a video on El Scorponero f2, but will share first impressions. My co-worker and I ate 1/4 pod each cut lengthwise. It had a sweet/fruity flavor. The heat was delayed and slow building, but when it ramped up it was pretty searing hot and lasted a while. I like it.

Here's the cut open pic. Some of the seeds are dark, but get that sometimes on early/first pods. The pod weighed 13 grams, had pretty thick walls.

I got a couple I need to try as well, orange and red phenos. Also a ripe devils prick. Had some on a burger that was pleasantly good. Also have 3 phenos of aji inti f3 to compare. All are very similar just slight differences in pod shape. On phone but pics later.

Also finally starting to get pods on my aji painapple. Was starting to worry

Orange  pheno  of el  scorponero I really liked that pod on   left  but  it had a wormhole

Three  pheno of Aji Inti (still need a taste  test) All visually  similar. Middle a little wider, right has a  semblance of tails on the end.

Here's a topic I just posted on El Scorponero pod test. I shared it with two of my co-workers. It has very good flavor and heat, one of my favorites.

Huge pod, still one of my  favorites of the crosses. Such great flavor. Want to say it's a cross of 4 different peppers so lots of  genetics  at play. Perfect heat range too, nothing too overwhelming  that it  can't  be enjoyed. The one  I had on pizza the other day was probably closer 400k, orange pheno was really good though it's a little to similar to carbonero. Once  I start getting ripe pods on   all  the plants i'll send you a sfrb to try.

Not really a good year for me some reason. Just not much in pod production.   Should probably amend the soil really good this fall.
