Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Growing 3 goat giants, this one continues to be wonky.

I have never seen or heard of a cojoined/siamese cotyledon, and now the first set of true leaves are growing the other way from it. You grew this next to the power plant last year? Fed it plutonium?

I get the weird conjoined ones fairly frequently. Even the tricots like this d3 goat that FINALLY germinated

Hey, quick question for ya D3,

How hot is Orange Wild Brazil?

But on topic, pulled my first* pod of your crosses today - El Scorponero f2 "short pheno" as I'm referring to it. Pod is a dark yellow, probably should've left it for another day or so to see if it would continue to darken, but I'll do that with the next pod/s.

*It's not actually the first, pulled one of the Gnarly pods, but it was a dud, stem had half snapped off, so stem was rotted and pod was all mushy, didn't bother with it at all as it was the runt. However, more pods will be pulled from the gnarly plant in a day or so, so stay tuned, I'll post some pics then I dare say.

Awesome on the yellow pod. Hopefully it tastes good

Orange wild brazil are pretty hot, very tasty fruity pepper and make a really good powder. The plants are very prolific and produces more pods than you're willing to stand around and pick. I like them dried in soup and would like to try them in a sauce. If you're contemplating on growing them i'd strongly suggest either them or regular wild brazil.

I've got a plant growing this year from the seeds you sent me last year with the crosses. Picked the first pod today. Looks tasty for sure! Thanks for the info ;)

First ripe one! I think I'll have a bunch of seeds probably in about 3 weeks, then say 2 weeks in the mail, so about mid March for the first load of seeds, hopefully that's not too bad for you man?

There will be more probably as late as end of April, but I'll send them in batches.

Ill make sure I let them ripen for at least 2 weeks after they change colour before reviewing them and collecting the seeds, and then will let the seeds dry out for 1 week. I think that should be ok?

Have to say D3 your seed was certainly fresh ... both Omni-Bonnet and El Scorponero Orange were sown 3rd February and looped in just over a week. Pale Yellow Goat will show in time I am sure

Luke warm tea soak for 12hrs .... root sponges soaked in tap water which stood 24hrs ... then I added a few drops of "Nitrozyme" an organic growth enhancer

Another set of leaves then I will plant on

Awesome, should still be enough time for me. Ill do them in pots so can move into green house if needed. Hard to tell, did that pod turn out more orange or yellow? Cant wait to hear back on what you think of the taste
