wanted looking to purchase a few plants

This year I was unable to grow indoors due to circumstances beyond my control. If anybody has some extremely hot and cool variety pepper plants they could ship to Washington state and knows how to ship plants properly pls contact me. Please note the plants must be about a foot tall and be budding/flowering, healthy and pest free. Thank you!

You should mark Kingdenniz as best answer and call it a day. Failing Ford though, Jim Duffy is pretty good. I just ordered stuff from him.

Although some of Ford's plants might have aphids once in a while. So look carefully after arrival. I say might because I noticed them on an Aleppo from Ford, but I'm not sure if that was just the first plant that was targeted of if they came from there. I think it's the first option though.

If you were closer, I'd say come on over.

A foot tall and flowering is going to be tricky.  Foot tall because shipping costs.  Flowering because most people sell plants when they are much younger.  Jim Duffy of Refining Chili peppers does a great job at shipping plants.  I think his are usually shipped out at about six inches.

But I have a much better idea for you.  ScubaSteve is working on his shipping method.  His first batch didn't work very well and he offered a full refund to everyone who ordered.  Obviously, the guy is honest and trustworthy.  He is a member of THP, a small business owner, and (with respect to Mr. Duffy) could use other member's help getting established.  Kind of a keeping it in the family idea.

Well, I can't beat free. But for future help, I've been shipping flowering plants since early last year. Actually did my experimenting with people on this forum, and they helped me with nailing down the best way. I only have reapers right now, but will have much more on hand, all year round. I already realized there are many people in your situation and give it another month or so, all the small plants are too late to deal with. Local people can buy plants with pods on them.

Cycadjungle, curious about how you ship plants once they get so large.  Not so much how, but how much it costs.  Have been looking at various merchants and the cost of shipping seems to be prohibitive.  We sell local, all size plants, some with flowers, some with pods starting.  But the idea of shipping them makes me cringe knowing how much shipping typically costs.

Thanks for thr info! Is the price on your site just for the plants?

Yes, the $15 is just for the plants, which is the way most people list plants for sale. The boxes of fresh peppers are priced including shipping.
The bigger plants will vary a lot in shipping costs, even in the same box and the same weight, so I deal with shopping on an individual basis. I shipped 2 nice plants down to Ft. Lauderdale for $8 priority mail. The same exact thing cost $14 to Indiana. The father west you go from here, it will even cost more. The way I ship them, they hold up pretty good if it takes 4-5 days instead of the standard 2-3 days for priority. When people want 4+ plants and if they are going to Texas for example, then UPS ground starts being cheaper. I've been shipping cycad plants for probably 25 years so I have already experimented with plant shipping in general. Most people are pretty nice and I don't charge any extra for shipping above the actual postal cost, so everyone so far has been happy to pay for the plants and then pay for the direct cost of shipping afterwards.
